Refund & Digital Delivery Policy

Last Updated: July 30, 2026

Welcome to Mayfair Book (“Mayfair Book,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Refund & Digital Delivery Policy explains how digital products are delivered, when refunds or replacements may be available, and the rights and responsibilities of both customers and Mayfair Book.

Because Mayfair Book sells digital books and downloadable educational materials, our products differ from physical goods. Once a digital product has been delivered or made accessible, it generally cannot be “returned” in the traditional sense. However, we are committed to treating customers fairly and honoring all mandatory consumer rights applicable under the laws that govern a transaction.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Copyright Policy, and Disclaimer.

Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes consumer rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

1. Nature of Our Products

Mayfair Book sells digital products only, unless a product page explicitly states otherwise.

Our products may include:

  • Digital books (PDF, EPUB, MOBI, or other supported formats)
  • Downloadable educational guides
  • Learning resources
  • Business templates
  • Digital reference materials

No physical books or printed materials are shipped unless specifically stated on the relevant product page.

Customers are responsible for reviewing each product description before purchasing.

2. Digital Delivery

Once payment has been successfully authorised, customers will normally receive access to their purchased digital product without unnecessary delay.

Delivery methods may include:

  • Secure download page
  • Customer account downloads
  • Email delivery
  • Licensed third-party delivery platform
  • Another electronic delivery method displayed during checkout

Delivery times may vary due to:

  • payment verification;
  • fraud prevention checks;
  • technical maintenance;
  • internet interruptions;
  • third-party payment delays;
  • unexpected system failures.

An order should not automatically be considered undelivered simply because a customer did not receive an email. Customers should first check spam, junk, promotions, or other filtered folders and verify that the email address provided during checkout was accurate.

If delivery cannot be completed because of a technical issue under our control, we will make reasonable efforts to provide access as quickly as possible.

3. Customer Responsibilities

Before purchasing a digital product, customers should ensure that:

  • the selected product is the one they intend to purchase;
  • the product language is suitable for them;
  • the file format is compatible with their device or software;
  • they have internet access for downloading the product;
  • they provide a valid email address;
  • they review the product description carefully.

Customers are also responsible for maintaining copies of downloaded products where permitted by the applicable licence and protecting access to their customer account.

4. Download Access

Download links or account access may be subject to reasonable security measures designed to protect copyrighted material.

Depending on the product, access may be limited by:

  • download attempts;
  • access period;
  • account authentication;
  • licence restrictions;
  • anti-piracy measures.

These limitations are intended to protect intellectual property and reduce unauthorized distribution. If a legitimate customer experiences difficulty accessing a purchased product because of these measures, they should contact our support team for assistance.

5. Refund Policy

Because our products are digital and may be available immediately after purchase, all sales are generally considered final once access has been provided, except where a refund is required under applicable law or expressly permitted by this Policy.

We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise and will review refund requests in good faith.

6. Situations Where a Refund or Replacement May Be Available

Subject to verification, Mayfair Book may offer a refund, replacement, or another appropriate remedy when:

  • a customer was charged more than once for the same purchase;
  • payment was completed but the digital product was never delivered;
  • the download link cannot be restored;
  • the file is corrupted and cannot reasonably be repaired or replaced;
  • the customer receives a materially different product from the one purchased;
  • a technical error prevents access and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period;
  • an order is cancelled by Mayfair Book after payment has been received;
  • a refund is required under mandatory consumer protection laws.

Where possible, we may first attempt to resolve the issue by providing:

  • a replacement download link;
  • a corrected file;
  • technical assistance;
  • another compatible file format where available.

7. Situations Normally Not Eligible for Refund

Except where prohibited by law, refunds will generally not be issued because:

  • the customer changed their mind after receiving access;
  • the wrong product was purchased despite accurate product descriptions;
  • the customer expected a physical book when the listing clearly identified the product as digital;
  • the customer’s device is incompatible with the disclosed file format;
  • the customer no longer wants the product;
  • the customer disagrees with the author’s opinions;
  • the customer expected business, educational, or financial results that are not guaranteed;
  • the customer failed to review the product description before purchasing;
  • the customer has already downloaded or accessed the product and no defect exists.

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

8. European Consumer Rights

Where applicable, consumers located in the European Union or European Economic Area may have a statutory right of withdrawal for certain distance contracts.

However, for digital content supplied electronically and not provided on a tangible medium, applicable law may allow this right to end once:

  • the customer expressly requests immediate delivery before the withdrawal period expires; and
  • the customer acknowledges that the right of withdrawal may be lost once digital delivery begins.

Where required by law, Mayfair Book will request the customer’s express consent before immediate delivery begins.

If applicable legal requirements have not been satisfied, consumers may retain any statutory withdrawal rights available under law.

9. United States Consumer Protection

Consumer rights in the United States may vary depending on applicable federal and state laws.

Mayfair Book aims to provide accurate product descriptions, transparent pricing, and fair customer service.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to mislead consumers or remove rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer protection legislation.

10. Technical Support

If a customer experiences technical difficulties accessing a purchased product, we encourage them to contact us before requesting a refund.

Support requests should include:

  • customer name;
  • purchase email address;
  • order number;
  • product title;
  • purchase date;
  • description of the issue;
  • screenshots where appropriate.

Providing sufficient information helps us resolve technical problems more quickly.

11. Refund Request Procedure

Refund requests should be submitted as soon as reasonably possible after the issue is discovered.

Requests may be sent to:

Email: [Insert Support Email]

When submitting a request, please include:

  • Full name
  • Order number
  • Purchase email
  • Product title
  • Date of purchase
  • Description of the issue
  • Supporting evidence where appropriate

We may request additional information necessary to verify ownership of the purchase before processing a refund.

12. Processing Approved Refunds

Where a refund is approved, it will generally be issued using the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.

The time required for funds to appear in the customer’s account depends on:

  • the payment provider;
  • the customer’s financial institution;
  • payment network processing times.

Mayfair Book is not responsible for delays caused solely by third-party payment providers.

13. Fraud Prevention

To protect both customers and our business, refund requests may be reviewed for fraud or abuse.

We reserve the right to refuse refund requests where we reasonably believe that:

  • false information has been provided;
  • payment fraud has occurred;
  • chargeback abuse is taking place;
  • the product has been unlawfully shared or redistributed;
  • the customer is attempting to obtain both the product and a refund in bad faith.

Nothing in this section limits rights provided by mandatory law.

14. Chargebacks

Customers are encouraged to contact Mayfair Book before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.

Many delivery issues can be resolved quickly without involving payment providers.

If a chargeback is initiated, we may provide relevant order records, download logs, payment confirmations, customer communications, and other evidence necessary to respond to the payment provider, subject to applicable privacy laws.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Refund & Digital Delivery Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal obligations, or business operations.

Updated versions will be published on this page together with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of our services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy where permitted by applicable law.
