Acceptable Use Policy & Legal Disclaimer

Last updated: 8 September 2026

This policy sets the rules for using TD. Course Downloader (the “Software”). It is part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. Breaking these rules is a material breach of the Terms and can result in your licence being revoked without a refund.

1. What the Software is for

The Software is a tool for personal offline access to course materials you already have the right to watch. It reads a course you can access, retrieves its video lessons, and saves them in an organised folder structure on your own computer so you can study them without an internet connection or after your access period ends.

2. You may use the Software only if all of the following are true

  • you have lawfully purchased the course, are enrolled in it, or otherwise have a clear and current right to access the Content;
  • you use your own account and your own credentials, or credentials you are expressly authorised to use;
  • your download and your later use of the files are permitted by the terms of service of the platform hosting the Content and by applicable copyright and other laws in your country and in the country of the rights-holder;
  • the downloaded files are for your own personal, non-commercial use.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Software to:

  • download or access Content you have not paid for, are not enrolled in, or otherwise have no right to access;
  • use accounts, subscriptions, licence codes or credentials that are not yours or that you are not authorised to use, including shared, leaked or purchased account access;
  • copy, upload, re-host, publish, stream, sell, rent, sub-licence, publicly perform or otherwise distribute or share downloaded Content with anyone else;
  • attempt to download Content protected by digital rights management (DRM) or other technical protection measures, or use the Software as part of any attempt to circumvent such measures — the Software does not provide this capability and must not be used in an effort to achieve it;
  • carry out bulk, automated or large-scale extraction that a platform’s terms prohibit, or that places an unreasonable load on a platform;
  • remove or alter watermarks, credits, attributions or rights-management information in Content;
  • do anything unlawful, infringing, fraudulent or harmful, or that facilitates any of the above by others.

4. The Software does not bypass protection or payment

The Software does not break, weaken or work around DRM, encryption, licensing servers, paywalls or access controls, and it does not grant access to any course or platform. If Content is protected by DRM, the Software will not download it. Any decision to access particular Content, and responsibility for that decision, is entirely yours.

5. No affiliation with course platforms

TD. Course Downloader is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any course platform, learning marketplace, school platform or content creator. All product names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are referred to only to describe compatibility. Any such owner may withdraw compatibility at any time by changing its service.

6. You are responsible

You are solely responsible for the Content you choose to access with the Software and for complying with all applicable agreements and laws. If you are unsure whether a particular use is permitted, do not use the Software for it, or seek your own legal advice. The developer is not able to assess the rights position of your individual courses and does not do so.

7. Legal disclaimer

The Software is provided as a neutral, general-purpose tool. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer accepts no responsibility or liability for Content that users choose to access, for any breach by a user of a third party’s terms or rights, or for any consequence of misuse of the Software. Warranty disclaimers and liability limits are set out in the Terms of Service.

8. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe you have breached this policy, we may revoke your licence and disable the Software’s ability to perform downloads, without notice and without a refund, and you will remain responsible for any liability arising from your misuse.

9. Reporting and contact

To report suspected misuse or a rights concern, or for any question about this policy, contact [email protected].
